Oh but you’ve probably never heard of them. These two are the most mysterious cowboys of Westbound and dont bother hiding yo kids or hiding yo wife because these bandit dont just snatch up any old folk’s cash……or actually, no one is sure if they even seen them rob anyone for that matter. Maybe its an ironic thing, maybe nobody is really worth their time. However giving the town’s sharp shooter and sheriff the runaround is their favorite pass time.

I saw a funny time line showing the complexity of Dave’s timeline compared to the others and I thought I would just make a small simplified timeline of what I believe really happens in the kid’s timelines!
Circles indicate when a kid is killed, and the offshoot in all the timelines is where davesprite was.
I’m pretty sure Rose, John, and Jade are pretty self explanatory, but I wanted to explain Dave’s a bit more. I don’t really think Dave’s timeline needs explaining since it’s pretty basic time travel shenanigans but…
Here’s a close up:
To start, The doomed Dave’s (There are two shown) end with a circle. I choose to put the one at the beginning where Dave attempted to get the sburb disks back from DD and the doomed quest bed Dave.
The rainbow line shows how Dave is able to being in multiple places at once and be on the same timeline! Follow the rainbow or try, and you will see it is all one line. It’s kind of like the intestines? Dave always travels BACK in time, never forward, because in order to travel forward it would be more complicated! I guess he could, but it wouldn’t really help all that much and it would be a bit redundant I suppose? If he traveled forward in time he would have to travel back anyway, ALSO travelling forward is quite risky since you wouldn’t have prior knowledge if you are going to die.
They are quite literally, time loops! I’m going to use a conversation between him and Jade:
TG: so im gonna go some place warm be back in a while later — turntechGodhead [TG] ceased pestering gardenGnostic [GG] — GG: wait! GG: dave!! GG: uuugh stupid lousy cool dudes — turntechGodhead [TG] began pestering gardenGnostic [GG] — TG: ok im back TG: an hour later GG: an hour? TG: an hour for me TG: a second for you TG: i ran around for an hour got my ass some place warm TG: went back in time TG: picked up where we left off
This is a simple time loop just like if you’ve seen Harry Potter 3 or read it when they use the time turner to be in two places at once. They go back in time they come back exactly when they leave.
A doomed Dave showed up when he goes back in time and does something dumb. This is why he goes back in time, it’s a safety precaution. When he is killed the doomed Dave will show up before he makes the choice, but since he went back in time to get killed, it will just POP up once it’s killed or about to be, because it technically doesn’t exist before that. That’s why Terezi makes Dave go back in time to lay on his quest bed 8^y
In the blow up I tell you how many hypothetical Daves are running around. I’m pretty sure I only made six running around at the same time(although I didn’t count that doomed dave), but remember he had thirteen or so running around at the same time before just exploiting that ability bro. And Aradia used it even more! Wowie.
